What cookies and browser storage mean
A cookie is information a service can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. Browser caching and other storage features serve different purposes and should not automatically be described as advertising tracking. The exact behavior of a deployment depends on its active code and hosting configuration.
The editorial pages
The article collection and information pages use locally hosted images, fonts, styles, and a small navigation script. The menu does not need to store a tracking preference or create a visitor profile. No optional advertising or analytics cookie is installed by the editorial template.
The restored pages
Earlier pages use local interface libraries for menus, service tabs, and other presentation features. Their presence alone does not establish that a tracking cookie is set. The restored inquiry forms prepare an email draft rather than submitting to an archived processing script. Email and telephone applications have their own behavior when you choose to open them.
External destinations
Following a source or photo-credit link connects to a different service. Its cookies and storage are governed by its own practices. The photograph displayed on this site is loaded locally; the credit destination is visited only when you follow the link.
Browser controls and changes
You can review or remove site data through your browser’s controls. Removing cached files may cause them to be downloaded again. If optional tracking is added to the site later, the description and any controls required for that deployment should be reviewed before activation. See Privacy Policy or contact the website team for questions.
